ECOWAS Trafficking in Persons Data Analysis and Reporting

Tasks:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of the Protection Division’s Assistance to Vulnerable Migrants Unit and direct supervision of the IOM Programme Coordinator in Geneva, I will:
• Carry out a review and a validation of the data provided by the ECOWAS members
• Develop an overview report on the state of administrative data on trafficking persons in the ECOWAS region
• Liaise on technical issues with the African Union STATAFRIC.
Study on the Needs and Expectations of the Guinean Diaspora in France, Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, and Belgium

Tasks:
•Develop the methodology and appropriate data collection tools (questionnaire and KIIs)
•Prepare a report (two versions: French and English)
Migration Profile of the Lao PDR Consultant
Client: International Organization for Migration (IOM) Lao PDR
Location: Remote & in Lao PDR
Timeline: June 2022 – June 2023
Tasks:
•Conduct data mapping and analysis using desk review and KIIs. Draft data assessment report.
•Lead the field visit in three provinces (Champasack, Savannakhet, and Xayabouly) in Oct. 2022 – data collected via KIIs and FGDs
•Develop three data collection methodologies and toolkits
•Prepare a training manual on data collection, analysis, and reporting
•Develop the Migration Profile of Lao PDR
Chinese Irregular Migration in France and Italy Research Consultant
Client: International Organization for Migration (IOM) China
Location: Remote
Timeline: Nov. 2021 – April. 2022
Tasks:
• Produce a discussion paper providing a background and overview of Chinese irregular migration to France and Italy and on Chinese migrants with an irregular situation in France and Italy
• Provide an overview of the irregular data migration landscape
Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Assessment Lead in Kazakhstan
Client: International Organization for Migration (IOM) Kazakhstan
Location: Remote and Almaty (Kazakhstan)
Timeline: Feb. 2022 – Aug. 2022
Tasks:
• Lead and oversee the implementation of the research project on migrant
workers in Kazakhstan (Almaty, Shymkent and Nur-Sultan)
• Design the methodology and develop DTM data collection and analysis tools
• Train the field team in Almaty, Kazakhstan (March 2022)
• Draft the final report

Client: International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand
Location: Remote
Timeline: Oct. 2021 – Feb. 2022
Tasks:
• Review a set of eight dashboards of DESC Team using assessment matrix
• Propose dashboard mock-up using PowerMockup, Excel and Power BI and elaborate dashboard
• Provide recommendations based on data visualization best practice
• Organize and lead a webinar (audience: immigration officers in South Asia)
Youth Mixed Migration Project Regional Coordinator
Clients: UNFPA Regional Office in Dakar, Senegal & Mixed Migration Centre (MMC) West Africa
Location: Remote & Dakar, Senegal
Timeline: Sept. 2021 – Dec. 2021
Tasks:
• Work closely with 4Mi and Country Offices (Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger) for timely and efficient implementation of the project
• Coordinate the review and data analysis process at regional and national levels
• Write the regional report based on advanced statistical methods
• Lead the organization of regional validation workshop, Saly, Senegal
• Manage partnerships with governments and stakeholders
• Build a communication and dissemination plan with regional office in Senegal
Towards an integrated analysis of migration aspirations and destination preferences of migrants and refugees in Libya (North Africa)
Client: Mixed Migration Centre (MMC) North Africa

Timeline: Oct. 2020 – May 2021
Tasks:
• Carry out desk review, data cleansing, management and analysis of a dataset
(6,000 observations, 135 variables); advanced statistical analyses
• Conduct a profiling exercise of irregular migrants and asylum seekers based
in Libya and mapping of migration routes (Central Mediterranean Route);
decision making of onward migration to Europe; drivers to
mobility/immobility, including role of smugglers and protection abuses
• Draft one report and one academic article; STATA do-file
Methodology for a longitudinal study on reintegration outcomes of returnees
